Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center to Open Renovated Lobby

June 2016

DAVENPORT, FL – On June 10, 2016, Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center will unveil its newly renovated lobby which took four months to complete and represents an investment of over $400K.

The lobby fountain was removed as part of the renovation process. To replace the soothing waterfall will be a player piano offering peaceful melodies throughout the day and evening. The lobby will also house a gift shop, a beautifully appointed reception center and a coffee/sandwich shop for the enjoyment of hospital visitors and employees.

The modern design of an open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows will produce a bright, uplifting space. “Heart of Florida never ceases to make improvements, anticipating the needs of our patients and visitors,” said Ann Barnhart, CEO of the hospital. “The redesigned lobby with enhanced amenities is one more step in creating a healing environment for everyone who enters our doors.”
